Logo for 2023 AEW Full Gear

For the first several years of AEW’s PPV scheduling, the logos for each PPV had remained consistent, with only minor variations and polishing. This year’s Revolution 2025 PPV saw a notable change in the font and colour scheme from the show, diverting from the usual blue/green and instead taking inspiration from the LA Lakers with gold/yellow, due to the show being in Los Angeles.

In 2023, fans were also taken by surprise as Full Gear’s logo underwent some changes, abandoning its original colour palette and taking inspiration from the LA Lakers too. Fightful Select have offered insight into the reason behind these changes. The reason for AEW’s Los Angeles based shows undergoing logo changes comes down to two important factors. Full Gear took place in the LA Forum, and the ownership had actually requested a change in the logo due to the original graphics representing their rival team.

For Revolution, Tony Khan is a big fan of the Lakers, and wanted to adopt it due to the show being hosted at the Crypto.com Arena, where the Lakers play. The 2025 Revolution PPV takes place later tonight.
