Reason For Bianca Belair's WWE Hiatus Revealed

Why Bianca Belair is off WWE TV

After several years on WWE TV non-stop, Bianca Belair hasn't appeared on Friday Night SmackDown since August 18. Belair was written off TV on the show when she was attacked backstage by Damage CTRL shortly after Belair and Charlotte Flair defeated IYO SKY and Bayley in a tag team match.

Reports have indicated that Belair is not dealing with a legitimate injury and she is instead taking some planned time off. Belair has since revealed why she is currently on hiatus from WWE, telling Metro: "Right now, it was just some self-care. We did some things with us personally that I'm so excited about, it has to do with the future."

Belair has several projects outside of the ring in the works, including her and Montez Ford's Hulu reality series, 'The Crawfords', which is set to be released at the end of 2023 or early 2024. Belair is also currently trying to write a children's book.

When exactly Belair will return to WWE TV is unknown. She was recently brought to Wall Street by the company for the completion of WWE's merger with UFC to establish TKO Group Holdings. Belair and Montez Ford could be seen alongside the likes of Triple H, Nick Khan, and Ari Emanuel.

Belair said about the experience: "It was exciting just to be part of a historic moment. Being able to be there representing WWE was an honour. It's very exciting because it's a new chapter. Everyone is on the edge of, 'What’s coming? What's happening next?' so I'm just excited for whatever can come out of this and what's going to come out of this. It's going to be great."
