Reason For Kofi Kingston's Absence From WWE Television Reportedly Emerges

Kofi Kingston has been conspicuous by his absence from WWE television in the last week or so.

The New Day member competed for the WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley at Money In The Bank last month, and was featured on last week's Raw in a backstage segment as he and Xavier Woods advertised their merchandise behind John Morrison and The Miz. 

However, Kingston wasn't at WWE SummerSlam 2021 over the weekend, nor was he involved on this week's Monday Night Raw, and PWInsider have confirmed that the 40-year-old is currently not cleared to perform. 

Kingston had been scheduled to be a part of the promotional segment pushing the Pure Life Purified Water brand with Woods at SummerSlam and was going to dress as another former member of the NWO.

However, Kingston has not been on the road with WWE this weekend and was not at Raw last night either. In his absence, Woods defeated The Miz in singles action, which lead to a split between the A-Lister and John Morrison.
