Rusev being pinned by Je'Von Evans on WWE Raw

Rusev was in action against Je'Von Evans on the July 27 episode of Monday Night Raw but found himself being accused online of no-selling the match following the contest.

After being pinned by Je'Von Evans following an OG cutter, fan footage showed that Rusev immediately rolled out of the ring and walked up the ramp to go backstage, with the X/Twitter user who shared the footage claiming that Rusev did so because he was "furious after jobbing to Je'Von Evans" and "Rusev is clearly not happy with this jobber treatment he’s getting from Triple H." The clip received over 390,000 views on social media and generated discussion across X/Twitter and Reddit, with many jumping to the conclusion that Rusev purposely no-sold the match due to frustration with his WWE booking.

Instead, though, Rusev made his way backstage so quickly after the match due to suffering an injury during the contest. Following a pele kick from Je'Von Evans on Raw to the back of the head, Rusev immediately rolled to the outside and he could be heard telling his opponent, "My hand went numb." Rusev remained outside of the ring for around one minute, during which the referee checked on him, before the match continued on the way to Evans picking up the win.

Rusev has suffered from neck problems during his pro wrestling career and he suffered a broken neck in 2012 which left him with temporary paralysis of the arms.

Rusev's quick roll-out could not be seen during the live broadcast of Monday Night Raw on Netflix as Raw remained focused on Je'Von Evans following his win, and Rusev was nowhere to be seen after a replay of the match finish.
