Swerve Strickland had a minor botch on Wednesday night's AEW Dynamite in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

The former AEW World Champion cut a promo following his win over Lio Rush on Dynamite, during which he accidentally said they were in Stamford, Connecticut. This led to chants of "Bridgeport" from the Dynamite crowd but Strickland soon got the segment back on track, which ended with him being beaten down by The Hurt Syndicate ahead of his match with Bobby Lashley at Full Gear.

The Strickland error was a simple gaffe and Bryan Alvarez explained on Wrestling Observer Radio that it was likely due to the wrestlers being booked to stay in Stamford, as opposed to in Bridgeport. Stamford is the location of WWE's offices and the AEW talent hotel was so close to WWE HQ that they could see the building, Fightful Select reported.

Swerve Strickland has become one of All Elite Wrestling's top stars over the past year. Swerve recently revealed a surprising match which led to his push in the promotion.
