Releases Of Persia Pirotta & Dexter Lumis Addressed On WWE NXT

WWE addressed the sudden releases of Dexter Lumis and Persia Pirotta on Tuesday's edition of NXT.

Lumis and Pirotta had been involved in a programme on NXT, with Lumis aligned with on-screen wife Indi Hartwell while Pirotta had begun a relationship with Duke Hudson. 

With Lumis and Pirotta gone from WWE, though, the storyline came to an abrupt end but NXT tried to provide some closure on last night's show. 

In a short backstage segment, a sullen Hartwell was spotted looking longingly at where her wedding ring used to be before Duke Hudson appeared alongside her. Both talents then looked at each other before Hudson suddenly tried to kiss the former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion.

Hudson was quickly shot down by Hartwell with an "Oh hell no!" but Duke noted later on Twitter that it was worth a shot. 

Lumis and Pirotta were suddenly let go on Friday, April 29, along with eight other talents, including the likes of Dakota Kai, Malcolm Bivens, and Draco Anthony.
