With 15 matches to get through in five hours, multiple bouts were kept short at All Elite Wrestling's All Out pay-per-view on September 4, including Jade Cargill's TBS Title defence against Athena, and the grudge match between Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks.

The finish of the Starks and Hobbs match, in particular, came as a surprise with many expecting a long contest that would see 'Absolute' come out on top. Instead, Hobbs connected with his Spinebuster finisher and pinned his former tag team partner for the win after just five minutes.

Neither of those matches were expected to be as short as they were and Fightful Select reported that Cargill vs. Athena and Hobbs vs. Starks were budgeted more time but both matches ended up finishing under the time they were given. Why the four competitors did not utilise the full time they were allocated is unknown.

'Jungle Boy' Jack Perry and Christian Cage's hotly-anticipated match was also kept remarkably short, only lasting 33 seconds. As noted, though, Christian Cage is dealing with an injury which is the reason they did not have a longer encounter.
