Report: 'A Good Chance' Drew McIntyre Will Leave WWE

Drew McIntyre set to exit WWE later this year?

An update on Drew McIntyre's WWE future has emerged.

The two-time WWE Champion's contract is reportedly set to expire at the end of 2023 and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that "McIntyre right now is working with the idea there's a good chance he's finishing up" with WWE.

Both sides are believed to be far apart on money for a contract renewal and Irn Dru is said to be unhappy about the company's plans for him. McIntyre was also recently surprisingly pulled from advertising for Money in the Bank, WWE's latest pay-per-view in the United Kingdom that will emanate from The O2 in London, England on July 1.

The former WWE Champion remains hugely popular in the UK as he is from Scotland.

McIntyre is currently off WWE TV with an injury but Meltzer reported the 37-year-old will only be out of action 'for a few more weeks.' This would seemingly give McIntyre plenty of time to make an in-ring return in time for Money in the Bank.

McIntyre is currently in his second run with WWE, having returned to the company in 2017.
