Report: Ace Steel Released By AEW

Ace Steel is no longer All Elite

Ace Steel is reportedly gone from All Elite Wrestling.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Steel was officially released by AEW on Tuesday.

"So he was officially released yesterday. So I guess that is the first bit of news out of that whole situation in weeks. There's a lot of other stuff going on," Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio.

Steel had previously been suspended by AEW following his involvement in a backstage fight with CM Punk, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks following Punk's post-All Out media scrum in which he took shots at Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and the AEW EVPs. The Elite confronted Punk about his comments and Steel got involved in the scuffle, reportedly throwing a chair at Nick Jackson and biting Kenny Omega.

AEW commissioned a third party to investigate what happened during the backstage fight. As of the time of writing, Punk, Omega, and The Young Bucks remain suspended.

Steel only joined AEW earlier this year, working behind the scenes as a producer. He briefly appeared on AEW TV in August, encouraging CM Punk to challenge for the AEW World Championship at All Out.
