Report: AEW Dynamite Match Scrapped For Second Week In A Row

An AEW Dynamite match filled with bad luck

AEW Dynamite featured multiple major matches this week, including a Street Fight for the TNT Title between Scorpio Sky and Wardlow, and Jon Moxley vs. Brody King for the Interim AEW World Championship.

RUSH also went one-on-one with Penta Oscuro on the show but that wasn't the original plan, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. El Toro Blanco was originally scheduled to make his AEW in-ring debut in a tag team match with Andrade El Idolo against The Lucha Brothers on the June 29 edition of AEW Dynamite. Rey Fenix was ill, though, and was unable to make the show in Detroit.

Tony Khan was then going to book the match for the July 6 edition of Dynamite in Rochester but either Rey Fenix or Andrade was not cleared to work the match so RUSH vs. Penta Oscuro was added to the show instead. Fenix and Andrade were both at ringside for the singles match.

AEW will be hoping it is third time lucky as the promotion are planning to have RUSH and Andrade take on The Lucha Brothers on TV as soon as possible.
