After a long wait, it appears that the AEW Fight Forever video game has a release date.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Fight Forever is slated to come out on Tuesday, June 27. An official announcement of the release is expected over the next week.

The confirmation follows reports from Insider Gaming's Mike Straw, saying that the release would be around AEW and NJPW's Forbidden Door II, which takes place June 25. Fightful had also heard from several retailers, who had heard a late June release, before they were able to confirm the actual date.

Fightful's report goes on to add that AEW holds rights to the game's engine, so a future release with the engine is possible. The original plan, however, was for a one-time release with constant updates (i.e. roster changes and such).

Plans for Fight Forever were announced as far back as November 2020, with Tony Khan confirming the game's title in April 2022. Game trailers were first released that August, with a playable demo being made available at the Tokyo Game Show in September.
