Report: AEW Looking To Sign Talents To Multi-Year Deals

AEW looking to tie down talents

All Elite Wrestling seemingly don't want to have another William Regal situation.

RUSH revealed this week that he has signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling, having initially inked a one-year contract with the promotion in 2022. That deal was set to expire imminently and while there was interest from WWE, AEW made RUSH the better offer to keep him with the company.

Speaking about RUSH re-signing with AEW, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that All Elite Wrestling are looking to sign talents to multi-year deals.

"Yep, they made the better offer, and he re-signed. I don't know how long the terms are, but I know AEW is trying to sign people for multi years. He got a one-year deal his first time because he insisted on it because he wanted to prove himself. There was whether they used him, he's an interesting character because when he wants to go, I mean like his match with Bryan Danielson was fantastic. He had a great match with Jon Moxley. Like when you put him in a singles match, he's very aggressive. He hits hard and all that, but it's like he's not been positioned to where people see him as a superstar or anything like that. And he still kind of does his own thing," Meltzer said.

The strategy could be key for the future of AEW, with the likes of The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, and MJF all having deals that reportedly expire within the next 12 months.
