Report: AEW Maintain Interest In Kevin Owens, Latest On WWE Deal

There have been varying reports on the status of Kevin Owens’ expiring WWE deal, with some suggestions that he has already re-signed with WWE, whereas there are also contrary reports stating that he has not yet agreed to new terms. 

Fightful Select have provided an update on Owens, revealing that the last they’d heard was that WWE had approached Owens, but no deal was signed. This was one month ago, with things being kept “close to the vest” in regards to his contractual situation. 

Although it was reported recently that WWE expect him to remain with the promotion, Fightful is reporting that AEW retains major interest in procuring Owens, and has done for a long time. When it comes to Owens’ new deal, whenever he signs it, it is expected to be a substantial one. Owens’ contract will be running out either at the end of 2024 or beginning of 2025, so there will likely be some major movement soon. 

It was reported yesterday by multiple sources that WWE were leaking false reports to try and potentially discredit the likes of Dave Meltzer when it comes to Owens’ contract situation.
