Report: AEW Stopping Bryan Danielson From Working For Indy Promotion

No Bryan Danielson on the indies just yet

While Bryan Danielson might want to work on the independent wrestling scene, AEW have other ideas.

Danielson's fellow Blackpool Combat Club faction-mate Jon Moxley was in action at DEFY Wrestling's April 30 show in Seattle, Washington, and The Purveyor Of Violence received a huge reaction from the crowd after he teased he might bring Danielson with him the next time he wrestles for the promotion.

Moxley may not be able to bring Danielson to DEFY for a little while, though. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Danielson has expressed interest in working for the West Coast promotion but AEW want The American Dragon's first match back in Seattle to be in an All Elite Wrestling ring.

DEFY have been told this.

From Aberdeen, Washington, Danielson has previously revealed he is a Seattle Seahawks fan and he always receives a big reaction in front of a Seattle crowd.

While AEW may not be heading to Seattle yet, the promotion will tour the West Coast following Double Or Nothing, with their first show in Los Angeles set to take place on June 1.
