Report: AEW To Be Forced Into Collision Change Over Full Gear Plans

AEW's plans for Full Gear 2023 have been revealed

All Elite Wrestling will hold the fifth edition of the Full Gear pay-per-view later this year and the promotion's plans will force them to move an episode of AEW Collision.

Collision has aired on Saturday nights at 8 pm ET on TNT in the United States since its debut in June, but Fightful Select has reported that AEW are planning to hold Full Gear on Saturday, November 18 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California. Even when airing pay-per-views on the West Coast of the United States, AEW have still kicked off the shows at 8 pm ET, meaning Collision will have to be moved. It is currently unclear what adjustments AEW will make to that week's TV show, however.

Revolution, Double or Nothing, Forbidden Door, All In, and All Out have all aired or will air on Sundays in 2023 and Fightful noted that All Elite Wrestling did discuss holding Full Gear on Sunday, November 19 before the decision was made to stick with a Saturday. Even the consideration of moving Full Gear to a Sunday led to some surprised people within AEW as the Jacksonville Jaguars have an NFL home game against the Tennessee Titans that day and AEW have avoided competing with American football due to Khan's position as an NFL owner.

As has become typical, AEW will hold the pre-pay-per-view edition of Dynamite close to the Full Gear venue. The go-home Dynamite will be taped in Ontario, California.
