Report: AEW Tried To Get 'The Final Countdown' For Bryan Danielson's Entrance

'Born For Greatness' instead

After four months away from the squared circle following the expiration of his WWE contract, Bryan Danielson made his All Elite Wrestling debut at All Out on Sunday. The American Dragon entered the arena to a remixed version of Ride Of The Valkyries just before Kenny Omega performed his trademark goodbye and the newest AEW signing made the save for Christian Cage and Jurassic Express.

Many hoped Danielson would use his old Ring Of Honor theme, 'The Final Countdown' by Europe, and Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that AEW did try and acquire the rights to the song. The track ultimately proved to be too expensive for Tony Khan, though.

"There was, in fact, an attempt to have him come out to Final Countdown, figuring the place would explode, which they did anyway. But it was, even for Tony Khan, cost-prohibitive. So, one of his [Danielson's] friends made this new remix and they think that, in time, this song will be just fine," Meltzer said.

Following the All Out pay-per-view, Danielson revealed his friend Elliot Taylor created his new theme, a song called 'Born For Greatness'.
