Report: AEW Yet To Agree TV Deal With Fox

No TV deal between AEW & Fox as of yet

A new TV deal between All Elite Wrestling and Warner Bros. Discovery is a "done deal" but that is not yet the case when it comes to a possible partnership between AEW and Fox.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that an AEW deal with Fox "is not done" but he believes it is close due to AEW taking the time to file the trademark for 'AEW: Shockwave.'

"The Fox deal is not done…I think it's something they're working on. As far as the Shockwave thing, they did trademark the name of 'Shockwave' so they have to be pretty darn close to a deal to go and actually go to the length of trademarking the name," Meltzer said.

The possibility of AEW airing content on one of Fox's channels emerged this week, with chatter amongst AEW talent suggesting Shockwave will be a new one-hour programme on FS1. The future of AEW Rampage is also unclear but Dynamite and Collision will continue to air on Warner Bros. Discovery networks.

Fox have been connected within pro wrestling for the past five years as WWE Friday Night SmackDown used to air on Fox from October 2019 until September 6, 2024.
