Report: Another AEW Talent Dealing With An Injury

Another AEW talent is on the shelf

AEW are dealing with a mini-injury crisis at the moment and top stars in CM Punk, Adam Cole, and Bryan Danielson have been out of action in recent weeks. TNT Champion Scorpio Sky is also dealing with his own injury, while former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega has been on the shelf since November of 2021.

Along with the top stars, though, Fightful Select have reported that "Big Shotty" Lee Johnson is dealing with a knee injury and he will be out of action for at least the next few months. The 24-year-old hasn't competed since the May 1 taping of AEW Dark.

Matt Hardy was also reportedly banged up in his AAA TripleMania XXX: Tijuana match over the weekend, but if he is dealing with a long-term injury is unknown.

Darius Martin has been on the shelf since being involved in a car accident in late April and Fightful noted in an update that AEW were hopeful he could return by the end of the year. That was not guaranteed, though.
