Report: Backstage Injury Fears Before July 10 WWE Raw

The July 10 WWE Raw was pre-empted by backstage injury fears

The July 10 edition of WWE Raw from Buffalo, New York saw Zoey Stark get one of the biggest wins of her career after overcoming former WWE Women’s Champion Becky Lynch in singles action.

The match went a little over 10 minutes, despite reports earlier in the day suggesting the bout could be cancelled due to an undisclosed injury to Lynch. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp on Twitter reported that Lynch at one point wasn’t cleared to compete, but added that the injury in question was minor and there was an expectation that the bout would be moved or even re-inserted onto Raw, which it ultimately was.

Lynch last competed during the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match at MITB in London on July 1, and it’s possible that whatever injury Lynch picked up could have occurred during the dangerous six-woman brawl.

Since returning to action in November 2022, Lynch has barely taken anytime off, wrestling consistently throughout this period save for a month away from in-ring competition in the lead-up to Night of Champions in May.
