The main event of WWE SummerSlam featured a moment that will be remembered for a long time to come as Brock Lesnar used a tractor to first push and then pick up the ring, sending Roman Reigns tumbling to the outside. The ring then remained raised in one position for the remainder of the match, with Lesnar even saluting the crowd in the raised corner following his loss in Saturday's Last Man Standing Match.

The spot wasn't supposed to be quite so dramatic, though, and when Lesnar pushed the ring back, it was "far rougher and harder than anyone had planned for" according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. The spot was also only rehearsed once before the pay-per-view by a member of WWE's production team who lifted the ring. Lesnar seemingly was not a part of any rehearsals of the spot.

Following SummerSlam, there was speculation that Brock Lesnar was set to retire but The Beast Incarnate is advertised for WWE's Day 1 pay-per-view on January 1, 2023, signalling his WWE career will continue for the time being. Lesnar first retired after WrestleMania 36 but he returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2021.
