Report: Backstage News On Los Lotharios' Lack Of WWE TV Time

Why don't WWE put Los Lotharios on TV more?

Los Lotharios looked to be on the receiving end of a push all the way back in 2021 but Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo have fallen down the card in the last two years.

Angel and Humberto have only had six tag team matches on WWE TV over the past year and they haven't been featured on TV outside of battle royals since January 2023. Even when they do appear on Raw or SmackDown, Los Lotharios are booked as jobbers to the stars, often losing in quick fashion to more featured teams.

Speaking about the tag team's situation on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated Los Lotharios are simply low on the pecking order in the tag team division.

"They're low on the pecking order, and I think that's pretty much it. They're there, but they just don't do anything with them, and they're talented guys too. WWE's got a lot of talented guys, and some of them are. It's always going to be a case where some of them just aren't used, and I mean WWE, but AEW is the same way. There are talented guys in AEW that don't do a lot. Also, there are lots and lots of guys on rosters more than... There are more talented guys on rosters, and there are spots that are pushed. So there's going to be people like that, and they could send him to NXT, I suppose. And that's not necessarily the worst idea. But right now they're kind of just, like a lot of guys, there's just guys that are there. Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, just guys that are there, they're on the roster, and they just don't do anything with," said Meltzer.

Angel Garza signed with WWE back in 2019 and he is a former NXT Cruiserweight Champion. Humberto Carrillo, meanwhile, joined WWE in 2018 but he has yet to win a title in the company.
