Report: Backstage News On Mike Tyson's AEW Return

Mike Tyson will return to All Elite Wrestling later this week and the promotion announced The Baddest Man on the Planet will be part of the commentary team for Friday's live episode of Rampage from Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

The arena was the home of some of Tyson's biggest boxing victories.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the deal for Tyson's AEW return was only put together a few days before the promotion announced he would be on commentary for Rampage. Iron Mike's appearance also might not be just a one-time deal.

Tyson has made several appearances on AEW TV in the past, first showing up to present the TNT Championship to Cody Rhodes at Double or Nothing 2020. Iron Mike then had a confrontation with Chris Jericho on Dynamite and they were originally set to clash at All Out 2020 before plans fell through. Tyson would later join the Inner Circle in 2021.

Already announced for Rampage is an All-Atlantic Title match where the champion will choose his opponent. Orange Cassidy will first defend the championship on Dynamite in a Three-Way with Luchasaurus and Rey Fenix.
