Report: Backstage News On MJF's AEW World Title Win
Tony Khan was confident about his plans for MJF's AEW World Title win at Full Gear

While Hell did not freeze over on Saturday, November 19, Maxwell Jacob Friedman did defeat Jon Moxley at the Full Gear pay-per-view to become the new AEW World Champion.
Both men fought back and forth throughout the contest but betrayal led to MJF's win as William Regal passed him a pair of brass knuckles which Friedman then used to clock Jon Moxley while the referee was groggy to capture the AEW World Title.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the finish of Regal passing the brass knuckles to MJF was Tony Khan's idea. Another finish to the match was mentioned by "several of the most influential wrestlers" as a different way for MJF to win but Khan believed in his finish and that was the plan that came to fruition on pay-per-view.
With MJF's win, he looks set to have William Regal at his side moving forward. Where this leaves Blackpool Combat Club remains to be seen but Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta could remain together under a different name.
