More details are emerging regarding Ronda Rousey's potential return to WWE, which could take place this Saturday at the Royal Rumble.

PWInsider have posted further details about the former UFC star's planned return.

According to the report, at least one WWE official flew to California last week following a TV taping to meet with Rousey.

Furthermore, Ronda's makeup artist and stylist from during her last WWE run, Abraham Esparza, is slated to be at both the Rumble and next week's Raw taping. The site notes this has been locked in for some time.

Citing a number of sources who would be aware of Rumble plans, PWInsider were told that 'it's all on Rousey' and whether or not she wants to return. The company is ready for it and wants her to be part of WrestleMania, with a match against either Becky Lynch (who responded to the Rousey rumours on Twitter) or Charlotte Flair as possibilities.

Rousey was originally scheduled to wrestle Lynch at Survivor Series 2018, but The Man was pulled from the contest after suffering a concussion during a brawl with Nia Jax on Raw. She was ultimately replaced by Charlotte Flair.

Ronda last performed for WWE in the main event of WrestleMania 35 (against Lynch and Flair). WWE President Nick Khan stated in an April 2021 interview that she would return at some unspecified point in time.

After leaving WWE, Rousey took time off in order to start a family with her husband (MMA fighter Travis Browne). They announced the birth of their first child together in September 2021.
