Report: Baron Corbin Moves Permanently To WWE NXT

Baron Corbin ain't leaving WWE NXT

Baron Corbin won't be leaving WWE NXT anytime soon.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Corbin has moved permanently to WWE NXT, saying: "He's a regular now in NXT and there's going to be more people like that."

Corbin made his return to NXT on the May 30 episode of the Tuesday night show, only a few weeks after he became a free agent after not being selected by Raw or SmackDown in the WWE Draft.

The former United States Champion has defeated the likes of Trick Williams and Ilja Dragunov since moving to NXT but he failed to capture the NXT Championship from Carmelo Hayes at NXT Gold Rush on June 27. The match saw Corbin revive his Lone Wolf persona but the former constable looks set to undergo another gimmick change as he was shown burning several items from his WWE past on the July 4 edition of NXT, saying it was time for "no gimmicks, no-nonsense and no bulls*it."

Corbin's move to NXT comes as WWE are looking to establish NXT as a third brand once again in an initiative directed by WWE CEO Nick Khan.
