Bianca Belair finally got redemption at SummerSlam after defeating nemesis Becky Lynch, a year after ‘Big Time Becks’ unceremoniously defeated Belair for the title. After the match, Becky shook Belair’s hand, then stood side-by-side with ‘The EST’ when Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Dakota Kai made their return.

So ‘The Man’ is seemingly back and face, and according to a report from PWTorch’s Wade Keller, this wasn’t the original plan, as Vince McMahon originally wanted to keep Lynch heel coming out of SummerSlam.

However, with McMahon’s retirement and with Triple H taking over creative, the decision was made to turn Lynch face, and McMahon reportedly would not have pulled the trigger if he was still in power.

Lynch has been an effective heel since her SummerSlam 2021 return, holding the title from SummerSlam until dropping it to Belair at WrestleMania 38Before taking time off in 2020 to have a baby, Lynch was arguably the biggest face in WWE, with Lynch’s run as ‘The Man’ widely praised.
