Report: Big WWE SmackDown Return Scrapped

WWE have pushed back a potential return

It looks as though fans were originally set to see a big return take place on last night’s November 10 episode of WWE SmackDown, but these plans have been nixed and delayed for now.

Ahead of SmackDown last night, AJ Styles was listed on WWE’s events page for the show - which he hasn’t been for months since being ruled out with an injury. Whilst this could be put down to simple human error, it has emerged in a report from PWInsider that a return for Styles was in fact set to take place on SmackDown, though for whatever reason it was ultimately pushed back and did not happen.

Styles hasn’t competed in a match since all the way back in September when he was defeated by Finn Balor in singles action on an episode of SmackDown. Styles and The OC looked to be potentially set for a feud with The Bloodline, though this never ended up taking place due to Styles being taken off WWE programming.
