Report: Braun Strowman Pulled From WWE TLC

The Monster Among Men is currently suffering from a hip injury

On Sunday, Dave Meltzer reported that Braun Strowman was suffering from an injury, which caused him to miss this weekend's SmackDown house show in Jacksonville, Florida. While the official word was that Strowman was suffering from back spasms, he was actually out injured with a sore hip.

While the initial report indicated the Monster Among Men would only be out of action for a few days, it has still affected his plans for TLC.

While the match had not been officially announced by WWE, rumours last week suggested Shinsuke Nakamura was set to defend his Intercontinental Championship against Strowman at Sunday's pay-per-view.

However, as neither Superstar appeared on last week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE has seemingly scrapped the planned feud. Meltzer reported that both wrestlers were supposed to be at the show to kick off their rivalry, but Strowman's injury prevented them from doing so.

For the avoidance of doubt, Meltzer said: "Nakamura and Strowman - they were supposed to do an angle on Friday Night SmackDown, but they couldn’t because Strowman got hurt and he couldn’t do the angle."
