Report: Bray Wyatt Nearing WWE Return, Illness That Has Kept Him Out Was Life-Threatening

Bray Wyatt believed to be nearing a WWE return after absence due to ‘life threatening’ illness

It’s been several months since we last saw Bray Wyatt in a WWE ring, with the former Universal Champion taken off the road in early March with an undisclosed medical condition.

Since then, updates on Wyatt have failed to shed much light on his condition or if he’d indeed return to pro wrestling, but a new report from Fightful Select brings good news, with it revealed that Wyatt is closer to being cleared for an in-ring return.

The report suggests that Wyatt has been out with a ‘career and possibly even life threatening’ illness, but the third-generation star’s health has significantly improved, with both Wyatt and WWE taking extra precautions to make sure that his long-term health is accounted for.

It seems that if and when Wyatt is cleared, it may be some time before he makes his return to TV. Reports suggest that WWE creative had tentative plans for a September return, but this is all dependent on when Wyatt gets the green light to resume his in-ring career.

A faction for Wyatt had originally been planned with Bray, Eric Young, Alexa Bliss, and Uncle Howdy. Alexa Bliss is on maternity leave, however, and Eric Young was granted his release from WWE in April, leaving those plans in tatters.
