Report: Candice LeRae's WWE Contract Still Set To Expire In Spring 2022

An update on Candice LeRae's WWE NXT future

An update on Candice LeRae's WWE contract has emerged.

The former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion is currently on maternity leave and it was unclear if WWE had frozen her contract, which would keep LeRae with the company beyond the original spring 2022 expiry date.

In an update, Fightful Select reported that LeRae's contract is still due to expire this spring and it has not been renewed nor frozen. WWE sources weren't even sure if LeRae's deal could be frozen due to her being on maternity leave.

The Poison Pixie's future with the company looks to be in doubt as she isn't expected to return by the time her deal expires. An extension also hasn't been discussed and WWE don't plan to hold talks while LeRae is recovering from giving birth.

WWE would like to bring LeRae back, though, as well as her husband Johnny Gargano.

LeRae has been with Vince McMahon's company full-time since January 2018. She has spent her entire run on NXT.
