Report: Cody Rhodes Ahead Of Schedule For WWE Return

Cody Rhodes is reportedly ahead of schedule for his WWE return

Cody Rhodes is progressing well as he prepares to make his WWE comeback, according to a recent report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Dave Meltzer wrote that The American Nightmare appears to be 'a little ahead of schedule' with regards to his healing. Rhodes has been out since early June after completely tearing his pectoral muscle.

The report added that Cody is working with Diamond Dallas Page to get back into shape and that things are 'normal' for him when it comes to everyday life. However, Meltzer noted that Cody is only using very light weights when it comes to training his upper body.

Meltzer continued by saying there is no firm date for Cody's return and that, if there was, he would expect it to be kept quiet for a surprise pop.

He speculated that the Royal Rumble could be an option, or Day 1, since that event was scheduled to take place in Atlanta, Georgia, which is where Rhodes grew up (and still resides). However, it appears as though Day 1 has now been cancelled.
