Report: Cody Rhodes Dealing With Injury Ahead Of WWE Hell In A Cell

Rhodes is scheduled to face Seth Rollins

Cody Rhodes is believed to have sustained an injury ahead of this weekend's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, it is believed that Rhodes has sustained a torn pectoral muscle, citing reports from multiple wrestlers. John Pollock of POST Wrestling cites the same injury in his own report on the matter.

Rhodes did not wrestle in his advertised match at Saturday night's WWE house show in Champaign, IL. He was scheduled to face Hell in a Cell opponent Seth Rollins in a street fight, but was replaced by Drew McIntyre.

Rhodes did make an appearance at the end of the match, however, to attack Rollins.

There is no word on whether the reported injury will affect tonight's match. Rhodes is scheduled to wrestle Rollins for the third time in as many pay-per-views, with this match taking place inside the titular Cell.

WWE Hell in a Cell takes place tonight at Allstate Arena in Chicago. Elsewhere on the card, Bianca Belair defends the Raw Women's title against Asuka and Becky Lynch, and Theory defends the US title against Mustafa Ali.
