AEW Dynasty 2025 reportedly was in a state of constant flux until showtime, with many aspects of the event not nailed down until it went live.

Such is par for the course for numerous wrestling events throughout history, and a report from F4WOnline has shed a little more light on what happened backstage prior to Dynasty.

Per the report, there were near ‘constant’ changes with regards to segments, match order, and the general flow of the show. In particular, the AEW World Trios Championship match between Rated FTR and The Death Riders was changed more than once, with the match’s position on the card moved around.

Apparently, the decision to open with the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament bout between Will Ospreay and Kevin Knight was finalised shortly before the show went live, with either the backstage team and/or the competitors themselves only notified of the decision shortly before the show commenced.

Dynasty itself was close to a sell-out, with a reported 7,923 in attendance in Philadelphia’s Liacouras Center. It was the first AEW pay-per-view to be held in the ‘City of Brotherly Love’.
