Report: Details On AEW Taping Backstage Segments

AEW getting backstage segments in the can

Efficiency is key for All Elite Wrestling.

According to Fightful Select, Tony Khan's promotion regularly tape backstage segments a week ahead of airing when talent are not wrestling on the following week's tapings. This is ultimately done to save money on travel and to lighten talent's schedules as it prevents them from flying across the United States, only to be needed at Dynamite or Rampage for a one-minute backstage interview.

AEW have taped segments ahead of time for a while, with The Hardys and Young Bucks filming a backstage segment in advance earlier this year. Last week's segment involving Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland from Dynamite was also taped the week prior in Toronto, Canada.

Taping backstage segments in advance has been a regular occurrence for PAC since the former All-Atlantic Champion resides in the UK, travelling across the Atlantic Ocean for shows. PAC was last in action on the October 18 edition of Dynamite when he and Death Triangle stablemates Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix defeated Best Friends and Orange Cassidy to retain the AEW World Trios Titles.
