Report: Don Callis' Skull Could Be Seen Following AEW Injury

Don Callis suffered a brutal injury on AEW TV

Don Callis suffered a nasty injury during the March 29 edition of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday night.

Following a confrontation with Hangman Page, Callis was laid out backstage by the Blackpool Combat Club, with Jon Moxley flicking off his glasses before he knocked Callis down with a forearm strike. When the camera panned back to the Invisible Hand, he was covered in blood.

It was revealed following the show that Callis was legitimately busted open hardway after hitting his head on equipment as he bumped to the floor.

In an update, Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that Callis' cut was so deep that his skull could be seen. Kenny Omega's manager was in hospital until 3 am.

"In taking the bump, Don was unaware that there was a lighting rig right behind him. He went head-first into the lighting rig and he got gashed open. It was described to me as looking like he was hit with a hatchet...allegedly his doctor told him it was so deep that you could see his skull, bleeding everywhere. They took him to the hospital and he was there until 3 am...He was there til 3 am because it took them that long to put his head back together," Alvarez said.

If Callis will miss any episodes of AEW TV due to the injury is unknown.
