Report: Drew McIntyre And Kofi Kingston Praised Backstage For 'War' On WWE Raw

An immensely physical match to main event Raw

Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston reportedly received a lot of praise and talking up backstage after WWE Raw for the 'war' they put on in the show's main event.

McIntyre and Kingston collided in Raw's final match on Monday for the right to challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at Hell In A Cell On Sunday 20, June. The two had previously tried to determine the number one contender last week, only for Lashley himself to get involved.

The Scottish Warrior and The New Day member put on a highly physical and exciting match, with PWInsider reporting that McIntyre is even sporting a nasty looking bruise above his right eye, which he sustained following a particularly stiff Superkick from Kingston.

The duo reportedly decided to take it to each other in a particularly stiff manner on Monday Night Raw in order to fully get over the importance of becoming the number one contender to the WWE Championship, and their match has left a lot of people talking positively about both men backstage.
