Report: Drew McIntyre Scheduled For WWE SmackDown

Drew McIntyre will be back in action

Drew McIntyre had been under the weather over the weekend, missing WWE's house shows in California due to a bad case of food poisoning. McIntyre was ill during SmackDown too and he was hooked up to an IV drip to get him through the show.

McIntyre's condition has continued to improve since the weekend and PWInsider have reported that the two-time WWE Champion is factored into creative plans for Friday's episode of SmackDown from Winnipeg, Canada. He is also expected to be on the road for the weekend's live events.

What McIntyre will be doing on SmackDown is currently unknown. Irn Dru is currently feuding with Karrion Kross on the main roster and they will clash at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view on October 8 in a Strap Match.

McIntyre and Kross were involved in a segment together on last week's episode of SmackDown that featured a botch after Scarlett's fireball shot veered left.

Already set for Friday's episode of SmackDown is Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa vs. Ricochet and Madcap Moss.
