Report: Edge To Be Off WWE TV For "A Few Months"

No Edge for a little while

Fans shouldn't expect to see Edge on WWE TV anytime soon.

The Rated-R Superstar continued his feud with Seth Rollins on the September 10 edition of Friday Night SmackDown from Madison Square Garden and Edge ended up leaving the ring on a stretcher following four Superkicks and a Stomp from Rollins.

Edge was put into the back of an ambulance following the match and Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the injury was done to write the 11-time world champion off TV "for a few months."

Upon re-signing with WWE, Edge reportedly put pen to paper on a part-time three-year deal where he committed to wrestling in five matches per year alongside 25 appearances. He has already competed in eight matches in 2021, having won the Royal Rumble and faced the likes of Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns and Jey Uso before his current rivalry with Seth Rollins.

Edge has faced The Drip King twice so far and they have both picked up one win apiece.
