Report: Elektra Lopez Thought She Would Be Debuting On WWE Main Roster With Legado Del Fantasma

Elektra Lopez did not join Legado Del Fantasma on WWE’s main roster

Legado Del Fantasma finally made their WWE main roster debut on the October 7 SmackDown, but there was one notable difference; Elektra Lopez was out, and Zelina Vega was in.

Rumours of Legado Del Fantasma’s call-up were widespread ahead of SmackDown, with reports that Lopez may not be joining the team on the blue brand. However, a report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio suggests that Lopez thought she would be receiving her call-up on October 7 too:

“She thought she was. Everyone was under the impression she was [going to be called up,] and then they changed their minds, so she wasn’t,” said Meltzer.

Meltzer also suggested that many within WWE also believed Lopez would be getting called up, but alas she wasn’t this time. There’s no word as of yet as to what Lopez’s future is in WWE, and it’ll be interesting to see if there’s any sight of her on this week’s edition of NXT, with Lopez having not wrestled on TV since the August 9 edition of NXT Level Up.
