The skirmish drew a mixed reaction from various fans and critics, with detractors unhappy that Ring of Honor would bring the former WWE tag team in.
In this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that Amore nor Cass, "...have been given no future dates and right now are not factored into anything."
Meltzer also noted that people within the company were unhappy with the angle, which, along with negative fan feedback, could be the cause of the lack of plans for the two going forward.
The report adds that the angle went off very differently than what was intended to happen. Amore was apparently supposed to grab Mark Briscoe, which would lead to Briscoe shoving him, and that would have been it, as security would then quickly escort the intruders away, giving the worked-shoot a sense of realness. Instead, the incident around ringside was considerably more prolonged, and many figured it was a work.
