Report: Former WWE NXT Producer Backstage At AEW Dynamite

A new AEW signing?

A former WWE NXT Coach and Producer was reportedly backstage at Wednesday's edition of AEW Dynamite from Atlantic City, New Jersey.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Ace Steel was backstage at the show. The former NXT Coach was also at AEW's Dark taping in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, February 5.

If Steel has joined All Elite Wrestling as a producer has not been confirmed, though.

Steel previously signed with WWE as a coach in November 2019 and he worked for the company until he was furloughed in April 2020. He then returned in October of that year and worked on NXT until he was released along with the likes of William Regal and "Road Dogg" Brian James on January 5, 2022, as part of the latest changes to the developmental brand.

Prior to joining WWE in 2019, Steel had spent eight years performing on the independent wrestling scene. He also performed for the likes of Ring Of Honor, TNA, WWE, Ohio Valley Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling NOAH from 2002 until 2009.
