Report: Further Update On Randy Orton's WWE Return

More on Randy Orton's WWE return

In further confirmation of Randy Orton's WWE status, Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that it appears the 14-time world champion is set to return from injury.

"All the indications are that he's on his way back, which is also good news because at the end of last year, there were definitely people worried about him," said Meltzer.

Recent reports have indicated that WWE are bringing in Orton for WrestleMania 39 and The Viper wants to make an appearance at the Showcase of the Immortals. Orton has only missed one WrestleMania since 2004 - 2016's WrestleMania 32 - and not being on the show reportedly deeply affected the former WWE Champion.

Orton has been out of action with a serious back injury since dropping the Raw Tag Team Titles with Matt Riddle to The Usos in May 2022. There were fears that Orton wouldn't be able to wrestle again but those fears have since been allayed. He underwent lower back fusion surgery in late 2022.
