Report: Future AEW Plans For MJF Revealed

What’s next for MJF in AEW?

We are officially in the MJF era, with the ‘Generational Talent’ finally landing the AEW World Championship at Full Gear, and even unveiling his own customised title belt on the November 30 edition of Dynamite.

MJF notably singled out three names during a promo on November 30, calling out Eddie Kingston, number one contender Ricky Starks, and Bryan Danielson, and according to a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a major angle with Danielson is apparently on the cards.

Meltzer speculates that MJF attacking Regal and seemingly writing him off AEW TV for good will serve as the catalyst of the feud, with Danielson having recently protected his mentor from a vengeful Jon Moxley. After MJF’s attack on Regal, Danielson was shown at Regal’s side as he was loaded into an ambulance.

As for when a potential Danielson vs. MJF match may occur, Meltzer wasn’t sure if it’s pencilled in for the Revolution main event on March 5, or if the two will clash on AEW TV to set up a future PPV clash.
