Report: Gabe Sapolsky's New WWE Role Revealed

Only months after his release, it emerged that Gabe Sapolsky had returned to WWE on September 23. 

Sapolsky's new role in the company was unknown but that has since changed. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sapolsky is now working as a creative team consultant for the WWE main roster.  

Sapolsky previously worked for WWE from January 2018 until his release in January 2022. He initially served in a consultancy role before becoming more active backstage after WWE purchased EVOLVE in 2020. 

The 49-year-old has a long career in professional wrestling and he initially studied under Paul Heyman in Extreme Championship Wrestling. Sapolsky then went on to co-found Ring of Honor in 2002 before later founding Dragon Gate USA in 2009 and EVOLVE in 2014.

The former ROH booker is just the latest member of Triple H's old NXT team to return to WWE. Triple H was appointed Chief Content Officer following Vince McMahon's resignation as WWE Chairman and CEO on July 22.
