Report: Hangman Page Vs. Kazuchika Okada Not Planned For AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door

Hangman Page vs. Kazuchika Okada won't be happening at Forbidden Door

Kazuchika Okada and Hangman Page will have different opponents at AEW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 26.

An initial report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio noted Hangman Page vs. Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship was listed on the internal Forbidden Door card. That match won't be happening, though, and a correction from F4W Online on Twitter claimed the Forbidden Door lineup is being kept secret.

The tweet from F4W Online stated: "Per @davemeltzerWON, his WOR note last night that Hangman Page vs. Okada was tabbed for Forbidden Door based on a lineup he had seen was incorrect. That match is not planned for the PPV as the lineup is being kept a secret."

Kazuchika Okada might not even be IWGP World Heavyweight Champion at Forbidden Door as he is scheduled to defend the title against Jay White at Dominion on June 12.

Only one match has been booked for Forbidden Door so far. AEW World Champion CM Punk will go one-on-one with Hiroshi Tanahashi.
