Report: James Storm Not Under Contract With IMPACT Wrestling

The Cowboy recently returned as Chris Sabin's emergency tag team partner

James Storm once again returned to IMPACT Wrestling earlier this week and resumed his place as Chris Sabin's emergency tag team partner. The Cowboy and Sabin teamed together against Private Party in the main event of the show and they look set to be involved in the IMPACT World Tag Team Title picture in the weeks to come.

Despite his latest return, Storm is not under contract with IMPACT, according to Fightful Select. He was heavily involved at the recent set of tapings, though, and he wrestled in three matches over the three days. The promotion reportedly taped a couple of months worth of content from January 16 to January 18, so Storm could be present on IMPACT TV for a little while.

The Cowboy's most recent return to IMPACT came only two months after his last run in the promotion. He was a surprise entrant in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Bound For Glory 2020 and he later teamed with Sabin at Turning Point against XXXL. Alex Shelley was on the shelf with a neck injury at the time.
