Report: Jason Jordan Named WWE's New Lead Producer

The former Tag Team champion reportedly had a promotion

Jason Jordan has been given the role as WWE Lead Producer in a reported shake-up of backstage personnel.

President Nick Khan has been making a number of large changes to WWE's corporate structure and, as a part of that, there have been a host of changes to roles and responsibilities for individuals working backstage within the promotion.

According to PWInsider, Jordan is one of the biggest beneficiaries of those changes with the former Tag Team champion given the Lead Producer position. Jordan takes over the role from John Laurinaitis and will now oversee all WWE producers across television and pay-per-view tapings.

Jordan has been working in the production team since a serious neck injury in early 2018.

Laurinaitis, of course, has moved back to Talent Relations and heads up the department. PWInsider's report also suggests that referee John Cone - who had initially been released from his Talent Relations role - is now back in the team and is Laurinaitis' second-in-command, taking the job of Manager of Talent Relations.

One or two other people have also been added to the Talent Relations team, while Adam Pearce is also believed to have been given some form of promotion. Pearce had been working as a producer and on-screen official, but his backstage role appears to have changed.
