Report: Jay White's NJPW Contract Expires

Jay White leaving NJPW

Jay White is on his way out of New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Super J-Cast reported today on Twitter that Jay White's contract with NJPW has expired and he is set to leave the promotion. Jay White recently lost a Loser Leaves NJPW Match to Eddie Kingston on February 18 at the Battle in the Valley pay-per-view, which came only one week after he lost a Loser Leaves Japan Match to Hikuleo at The New Beginning in Osaka on February 11.

There is believed to be interest in White from multiple promotions but WWE are reportedly the favourites to sign the 30-year-old. If White does jump to WWE, he would be the fourth Bullet Club leader to do so following Finn Balor, Karl Anderson, and AJ Styles.

White has been a part of NJPW since 2015, first coming up through their Young Lion developmental system. He ends his time in the promotion as a former IWGP World Heavyweight, Heavyweight, Intercontinental, and United States Heavyweight Champion, as well as a former NEVER Openweight Champion.
