Report: Jonathan Gresham To Join AEW

Jonathan Gresham is AEW bound

All Elite Wrestling are set to add a top free agent to their roster.

Fightful Select have reported the "working plan" is for Jonathan Gresham to sign with AEW/ROH and The Octopus is expected to appear in All Elite Wrestling. Sources within IMPACT Wrestling also expect Gresham to be in AEW very soon and the Anthem promotion noted he hadn't signed a contract with them.

Neither AEW nor Gresham have officially confirmed his signing but discussions have been held about integrating the announcement into ROH's return show, Supercard Of Honor, on April 1. Gresham will face Bandido in the show's main event to determine the Undisputed ROH World Champion.

The Octopus won the Original ROH World Title at Final Battle in December, defeating Jay Lethal after Bandido was pulled from the show due to testing positive for COVID-19.

Reports of Gresham joining AEW come after it emerged Tony Khan's promotion had produced assets for the ROH Original World Champion. It was also recently noted that the belief is the 34-year-old's matches in PROGRESS Wrestling - where he is the world champion - won't air on the WWE Network because he is likely to be an AEW talent soon.
