Report: Kalisto Guest Coaching At WWE Performance Center

Good lucha things being taught at the WWE PC

Former WWE star Kalisto has been back working with the company of late, according to a recent report.

Fightful Select noted that the former United States Champion was doing some work with the NXT crew last week, acting as an agent and coach.

According to the report, Kalisto was coaching at the Performance Center through the week and attended the NXT live event on Friday. The site were told that he handled the women's matches on the show as a producer.

It further stated that it was unknown whether he will be brought back soon. It is not uncommon for former stars to come in for short stints to work with the developmental talent.

Kalisto originally signed with the company in May of 2013 and was brought to the main roster in March of 2015. He was released on April 15, 2021 as part of the mass layoffs attributed to COVID-19 related 'budget cuts'.

Since then, he has only wrestled nine documented matches, including one appearance on an episode of AEW Dynamite (as Samuray Del Sol).

Earlier this year, the masked man revealed he had suffered serious health issues due to COVID which 'nearly ended' him in 2021.
